Michigan State hosts North Carolina State on Nov. 28 as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

The game with Texas comes in the annual Spartan Clash on Dec. 22.

"This will prove to be a very good non-conference schedule, with good balance," MSU coach Tom Izzo said in a press release. "North Carolina State will bring an experienced team into the Breslin Center, with several returning players from a group that played in the ACC Tournament finals.

"The possible group of teams at the CBE Classic finals in Kansas City could be as strong as any early season tournament. UCLA is in everyone's preseason top five, Maryland is always among the best teams in the country and Missouri is a team on the rise.

"On the road, we'll face a BYU team that returns some key parts of its NCAA Tournament and Mountain West championship team.

"A true road game at Bradley in front of a hostile crowd against a good team is a great test to get ready for the Big Ten road trips."

Michigan State will play 18 Big Ten games next season.

The conference schedule is expected to be announced next month.

The Big Ten Tournament will run from March 13-16 in Indianapolis. The 2008 Final Four will be held on April 5 and 7 in San Antonio.

The Spartans finished 23-12 last season.
